Spring Rally Wednesday April 21st

Our very own Cub Scout Pack 3 out of Robison is hosting a Spring Rally for boys K-5 wishing to join our pack! We will meet this Wednesday, April 21st 7pm in the Robison Elementary parking lot. Parents feel free to bring a chair. Meet your neighbors and come find out all about what we do and what your boys will learn and experience being part of this amazing group!

Cub Scouting is fun for the whole family. In Scouting, boys start with their best right now selves and grow into their very best future selves. It’s fun, hands-on learning and achievement that puts kids in the middle of the action and prepares them for today – and for life.

Scouting for food – Thank you, Neighbors!

We had a successful Scouting for Food drive this year.  Our neighbors helped us collect over 3000 lbs of food for Cypress Assistance Ministries this year!  In all, the Big Cypress District collected over 58,000 lbs of food for the pantry this year!

See CAM’s facebook post here about the effort.

The Scouting program loves helping our neighbors, and we at Pack 3 love that you are willing to help us!

If you have elementary aged children and would like us to help them become good neighbors, visit our Pack information page for information on the various dens and visiting our program.  We’d love to see your kids!

Scouting for Food!

Every year during January/February, the local area Boy Scout and Cub Scout units participate in Scouting for Food, an effort to assist local area food pantries to help those in need.

Our Cub Scout Pack helps other units in the area to collect food for Cypress Assistance Ministries (CAM).  Last year our pack collected more than 800 pounds of food from the Cypress Mills and Lakes of Rosehill subdivisions.  CAM estimates that on a typical year, the area-wide Boy Scout/Cub Scout effort supplies 6-8 months of food for the pantry.

To see a list of food pantry donations accepted by CAM and current pantry needs,  click here.

The campaign takes two Saturdays to complete.  The first Saturday, the Cub Scouts will place door hangars and bags on as many homes in the subdivision as possible.  On the following Saturday, the Cub Scouts will canvas the neighborhood and look for bags that are left out on front porches throughout the neighborhood.  We then sort the donations and bring them to CAM, where they are collected and stored for distribution throughout the year.

This year, the Scouts will be placing door hangars and bags on homes on January 30th and collecting the donations the following weekend, February 6th.

*NOTE* Please place donations in view of the street with the door hangar (or a sign of some sort marked “Scouts”) visible as we don’t walk up to every door on pick up day!  Collection starts at 9 AM.  If we haven’t picked up your donations by 12 pm, please send an email to info@ScoutsCypressPack3.org with your address and we will come collect them!

The Scouts will earn service hours towards their ranks for this effort.

Thank you, neighbors, for helping our community!

Cub Scout Pack 3 – Robison Elementary School

Pack 3 and Coronavirus

Safety is paramount in Scouting. At Pack 3, we are following the guidance of the Boy Scouts Organization that can be found here.

We find it is important in these trying times to continue to the best of our abilities the getting together of Scouts to both learn and have fun in a safe environment. We have slowly re-introduced in-person meetings over the course of the school year.

Our pack meetings (all scouts) have been virtual all year.

Our den meetings (smaller groups usually divided up by grade level) have been in-person and outdoors where feasable. Masks and social distancing rules apply at all gatherings.
